#Hack2023 is a Hackathon that is conducted every year to come up with digital solutions for issues found within the local churches. I had been roped in to help out with the Marketing process. For this page, I will be going through some of the processes that I was part of rather than the entire marketing campaign

Inspiration and References

This is the First time Indigitous is working with Digital Wesley for a Hackathon, thus I had looked into the different forms of art that the Methodists and found that they are famous for stained glass art from their Anglican roots, thus this inspired me to use this as the backdrop for the future designs that I will come up with

Vision of this Hackathon

After going through a few rounds of ideation, we landed on John  the team had decided on the theme of loving in discipleship in 5 areas which include:

 

  • Church

  • Society

  • Fellowship

  • Family

  • Marketplace
     

This would be based on John 13:35 where Jesus said," By This will everone know you are my Disciples if you love one another."

Marketing Strategy

Our Target Audience was 350 People, which was based on previous attendance, Digital wesley's audience and potential growth from the marketing

Indigitous would be targeting the younger generation thus would be using Instagram and Tiktok to advertise whilst Digital Wesley would have an older audience thus we decided to use Posters and Facebook to reach out to these individuals

Posters Design

Using Canva and Photoshop I had came up with a few different ways which Love can be exemplified in these settings such as a bread run for society, comforting the broken for fellowship, a family picnic, a workplace meeting and a Bible study for church.

Event Brite

We then decided to create an Eventbrite page to use as a platform to help out with our registration. This page was then promoted through various platforms via Instagram, Facebook and QR codes on posters.

T Shirt Design

To create brand awareness on the day itself we had decided to have our own T Shirt, as requested by one of the Planners, they would prefer a Beige colored shirt thus I complied and gave a few variations to choose from

Then based on the T shirt Design we decided on the Table gifts for the Event such as the Totebags
